Tours can be tailor made to suit your group - and our facilities can also be used as a business venue, with or without accompanying vineyard/winery tours and lunch at Charlotte's Kitchen. To discuss individual requirements please email roger@yearlstone.co.uk. You may find a bigger turnout when accompanying a business meeting with a short vineyard tour & tasting and complimentary bottle of wine on departure. A new small conference facility is being built in 2009 and will be ready by the summer. For Individual Visitors The English Wine Experience at Yearlstone A perfect gift for wine lovers! Tea and coffee on arrival. The tour will begin with a guided tour around the vineyard by the vineyard manager explaining the history of English wine, the recent boom and principles of vinegrowing in the South West of England. To return to the winery - one of the best equipped in the country and a regional winemaking centre. On arrival at the winery you will meet award-winning winemaker Juliet White & there will be a full explanation of the winemaking process, illustrated by a tutored wine tasting. To finish, you will be offered lunch at Charlotte's Kitchen - a popular venue for those who appreciate delicious food with locally-sourced and seasonal ingredients, some of the from our own kitchen garden. At the end of the day you will receive a complimentary bottle of Yearlstone white or rose wine per person. This tour is available on specific dates from May to September. Advance booking is essential. Cost: £45 per person. We will publish dates nearer the time - or contact us to find out more. Self-guided Tours This offers a self-directed walk of the vineyard. On returning, there will be an instructed tasting of a selection of Yearlstone wines Available all season during opening hours. Cost: £3.00/£4.00 per person. (full six wine tasting for £4, three wine tasting for £3). The Vine to Wine For this we provide a fully-guided tour of both the vineyard and winery, together with a tasting of our wines. A full explanation of the process from vine to wine is given. This option is available on Wednesdays at 2:30pm, from May to September, and lasts approximately 1 and a half hours. Advance booking is not necessary. The tour is subject to weather conditions. Cost: £10 per person. Groups may book this option between May and September - by arrangement. Vineyard Trails The trails through the vineyard & orchards take approximately 15 mins to walk and involve some steepnclines. All visitors wishing to walk through the vineyard will need good mobility plus suitable footwear and clothing. How to Find Us See details on our Contacts page. Yearlstone is located 15 mins from J 27 M5 on the A396 between Tiverton and Bickleigh. The vineyard is brown tourist signed and 1/4 mile off the main A396 just before Bickleigh on the Tiverton side. Sorry, as our access is restricted, we cannot accept large coaches. Large groups must book in advance.
